Planning a wedding can be extremely expensive and most brides don't want to hire a professional makeup artist to stay with them the entire day. Even though your budget may not allow for a glam team to touch you up all day, you can still remain camera -ready for all of your photos and memories. Here are 4 tips to help you confidently freshen up your makeup like a pro even if you're a beginner and don't have a lot of time:
1. Blot away excess oil. Use an oil blotting sheet to remove excess oil and sweat before reapplying any makeup to the skin. If you don't do this before applying your powder, you will experience a lot of texture on the skin which is not flattering for pictures.
2. Reapply your face powder. Reapply your foundation or finishing powder. I highly recommend the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural as it gives a sheer to medium coverage and a gorgeous luminosity to the skin. Be sure to use a big, soft fluffy brush.
3. Apply your makeup setting spray. Makeup setting sprays increase the longevity of your makeup, while melting any powder on the skin to give you a skin-like finish. If you have oily skin, I recommend a mattifying setting spray and if you have dry skin a hydrating one will work perfectly.
4. Touch up your lips. Carry your lip liner and lipstick with you to reapply. With all of the talking, drinking, eating, and kissing you will definitely need to touch up your lips.
Bonus Tip: Change your lip color for your reception to a bold and striking color for a wow factor.
