Wedding Beauty Timeline: What to Do & When to Do It

💍💋 Hey Brides-to-Be,

If you’re getting married in Dallas and looking for a makeup artist, you’ve come to the right place! I’m Tamar, owner and professional makeup artist. My team and I absolutely love serving brides and making them feel absolutely stunning on their big day.

If you’re wanting to book a professional bridal glam team, here’s a timeline that details what to do and when to do it. Here's a bit of what to expect:

👰🏾‍♀️ 8-12 months before your wedding: Start researching and reaching out to makeup artists. It’s never too early to start! You want to make sure you find the perfect fit for you. This is also a great time to establish a great skincare and fitness routine. For a comprehensive list for your bridal beauty, get your all-inclusive Bridal Beauty Planning Guide here.

👰🏾‍♀️ 6-8 months before your wedding: Once you’ve found a makeup artist you love, inquire about their packages and secure your date.

👰🏾‍♀️ 4-6 months: Now the fun part! Let’s start saving some inspirational pics of your favorite glam. Visit your artist’s portfolio or social media and save the makeup styles you look. It’s always best to save pictures of people who look like you.

👰🏾‍♀️ 1-3 months before your wedding: Now it’s time to book your wedding makeup preview! At Tamar Israel Artistry, this appointment is a 2 hour makeup application where we dive deep into the details of your look. You’ll have an opportunity to try different eye looks and lip colors and just be pampered as you get a sneak peek of your wedding day glam. And by booking your preview months out, you’ll have plenty of time to make any changes or adjustments before the big day.

Schedule your teeth whitening, laser hair removal, and tanning appointments. Avoid scheduling these the week (or 2) of your wedding to avoid beauty mishaps.

So if you’re a bride-to-be in the Dallas area, schedule a complimentary consultation! I can’t wait to help you look and feel amazing on your special day. 💕
